This week we read an inspiring article making the case for female-led networks which are set to change the business world, by bringing new forms of networking and therefore creating spaces to share stories and create connections.

Sounds familiar? This is exactly what we are trying to do here at 50inTech, with the mission of changing, once for good, the gender imbalance in the tech industry.

In order to get the most out of our community, we believe that the 4 tips given in the article are extremely useful. Here they are:

1/ Show up as your whole self, not your ‘work persona’.
2/ Give first. There’s a passion to lifting other women up so start by offering what you have to give; connections, expertise, advice.
3/ You will get out what you put in. Make the time and give yourself the space to truly #engage and #connect.
4/ Talk about what is, and is not, working. The support of these groups is surprisingly new for women who are used to slotting into male dominated networks.
